Changing from Elec to Gas hob?

Hi all,

We've got an electric hob in our new house, but I despise it. Is there a way to change from an electric hob to a gas one and does anyone know how much it might cost to get it done?

We have gas central heating, but it's on the other side of the kitchen and there are two doors between that and the hob.

Do you have a void beneath kitchen floor ?

First find a Hob that will fit in the hole as a smaller one would be a no no.
Find your self a good Gas Safe fitter and have him come round and fit it. Should not cost more than £150/£200 depending how much materials are needed.

No idea, bit you will obviously have to pay for putting new pipes in, and then boxing them in and painting, unless there is scope to run them under the floor or through the ceiling.

Indeed. Induction is the business. There's a world of difference between cheap electric and really good electric.

You can't beat cooking on gas though.

Zowghi is right. You should base all purchasing decisions on cliches.
