Changing GPU - Reinstall?

Basically, building a new PC, and my current machine will be my 'spare' which I'll run alongside my main PC with stuff like chat apps, downloaders, web browser etc open while I actually use my main PC.
Given this, I'm giving my 9800 Pro to my brother and I'm having his FX5500 since he'll need the better GPU more than I will in this spare.

Given the jump from ATi to Nvidia, will a Windows re-install be required for maximum performance, or will a simple uninstall and run of DriverCleaner be sufficient.

Might sound mad, but y'know... paranoid.

Will be fine if you uninstall, run driver cleaner (if you really want to) and install the new card. done this a few times myself, as long as you uninstall before removing the card you should be fine.

I haven't ever run drivercleaner after doing it, didn't see the point and like I said hasn't caused me any hassle.

Good to know, cheers. I alwways reboot to save mode and run Drivercleaner just in case, but that's the paranoid side of me.

Keep hearing all sorts of stories about how they've lost fps by switching from ATi to Nvidia or vise versa, lol.
