So I'm trying to lower my idle voltage on my GTX 260 216 by flashing the BIOS with nibitor....but no matter what I put in as my 2d voltage it seems to idle at 1.06V?

What am I doing wrong?

I don't think nibitor can access the voltage controller on the 200 series cards - only set values from the pre-defined voltage table.

Theres software that can access the controller on most of them in windows but off the top of my head the name escapes me.

hmm well then I guess I'll try EVGA precision or something.

On a side note I have to say I'm really impressed with the GTX 260 performance. I had one before but it gave me issues and ended up being faulty :/ This one clocks decently and tbh when clocked to 702/1458/1150 feels pretty much just as fast as my clocked 4890 at 905/4400...perhaps even faster regarding min FPS

Got it working. I was being stupid and only changing the Voltage IC and not the voltage table as well. I wonder how low I can get the idle voltage

Ah nice one. In theory that 55nm process (assuming its not 65nm) is designed for 1v nominal operation so I'd expect the lowest you can go to be around 0.87-0.9 but its not something most people try so who knows :D I'd be a bit scared myself of getting the 2D voltage too low and being unable to recover it heh.
