So my motherboard went the otherday and I have had to stick in another one with a different lower spec cpu, different memory and AGP vdu from a PCI-E vdu.I am in windows but it wont detect my network connection.

I have never before had to install any drivers to get online as windows sorts it from setup. I am guessing as I have changed hardware It wont re configure its self. Is there anyway I can get it to ditch what its setup and have it start with the current hardware. I really dont wanna format at the moment.

Boot in safemode mate (F2)

Go into control panel and add/ remove programs and uninstall all ATi/ Nvidia/ AMD/ Intel drivers etc.

Then reboot.

If activation problem occurs, call microsoft and they should help with a new activation code (they did for me once when a similar thing happened to me) :)

They are not listed mate. There are no Vista drivers for my equipment except the gfx and sound. All motherboard related stuff is installed by windows. I cant find anything to uninstall and it wont go online because it hasn't properly fired up my network

UPDATE:
Problem fixed. Thanks.
