Hiya folks.

As it must be something web developers etc come across I thought it prob best to post in here.

I'm changing Web hosts they are transferring over website.

However what do I need to do in order NOT to lose my imap emails.
I'm using Outlook 2010

Any hints
Thanks
Matt

Cheers guys,

But I'm gonna complicate it all now.

I have several .pst's and I dont know how they work.
outlook.pst, Archive and then 1 for each email account 9 in total.

Oh and I cant find the Export feature.

Cheers Again
Matt

I did this with my domains a few month back. The above works but I found it a bit easier just creating a new folder in outlook called "local inbox" and dragged all the emails from the IMAP folder to the local folder. Once the switch had taken place I just dragged the emails back to the newly created IMAP folder.

This way worked the best. Or should I say this is the only way I could get it to work. Had a busy morning the gits deleted the server last night.

Another option would be to switch to Google Apps (free) - that way you can change hosts as you please and your email remains separate.

There's even a migration tool for existing data: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/outlookmigration.

Couldn't get it to work cant get google apps to install or setup
