My wood trim is sun damaged.

I have 2 options.

First option is stick with the wood, get it redone and add wood on the top of the door pieces like this where there is leather ( don't like the leather there) - about £400

Or I can convert to piano black trim including doors for £500.

I am leaning towards black gloss. It's also what all the new Astons pretty much come with and seems a desirable after market add on.

Boring grey:

Sometimes I prefer the XK. That was a lot more discreet and you could get around quickly. Having an attention whore car causes numerous problems when driving, so much that it is now purely a weekend jobbie.

Things like, travelling along the motorway and people levelling off with you and hovering up until you approach a car in your own lane where you need to slow down.

Staring in car parks putting you on the spot.

People trying to mess you about on the road for fun due to jealousy.

Can't pick your nose discreetly.

Scared to leave it parked in places.

Stupidly expensive parts. Front pads are £250 from a dealer. Crosses over to a Toureg 6.0 which costs £45.

Surprisingly easy. For anyone that comes here via google. Pull off the trim, it's only clipped. On each side of the sat nav pull away the plastic until the sat nav drops back down. Unclip PRND and done. You only need a Phillips and torx for the transfer of the bits.
