Changing Laptops - Do I Need to Buy a New Copy of Office?

I currently have Win7Pro 64Bit and Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus on both my desktop and laptop.
I need to do a clean install on my desktop for both Windows and Office but think that should be OK as it's on same drive as originally installed on?
I'm going to do the same on my laptop as it's running slow at the moment and keeps crashing.
However, before Christmas I'm looking to buy a new laptop.
My two questions are:
Can I de-install Office from my old laptop and re-install on my new laptop.
I'd also like to take the SSD from my laptop and use it in my desktop and install Windows and Office on it as its a larger newer drive.
Can I do both of these without buying new software with the original software?
Cheers for any help.

Yep that's fine. You may have to phone the activation line rather than it being able to do it automatically though but that's quick and painless.

Cheers - does that mean that I have to officially de-activate before re-installing?
Only ask as my desktop is not accessible and that's why I'm going to carry out a fresh install - repair using the CD won't work nor system restore.

You can't deactivate Microsoft products, at least not in a way that affects the devices count for that particular key. Just phone them when you've reinstalled.

On another matter I need to install to a laptop with no CD?DVD drive - how best to do it? i can't for the life of me remember how I did it last time - is it possible to copy to a usb dongle?

just copy the whole disk onto a usb dongle, I'm pretty sure it's as simple as clicking and dragging or you could make an image and mount it from the dongle.

As a follow up to this, my SSD drive is getting really full as its an old 80GB Intel. If I were to upgrade to something larger, then would it be possible to de-install from my old SSD drive and re-install on the new SSD under the same licence - will I run into any difficulties. It will be going in the same desktop.
I realise I may have to post this as a separate thread but thought it made sense to post it here first.
Cheers

If you do indeed have Pro Plus, that is the Volume edition of Office that uses a VLK or MAK. In which case speak to your work administrator to get the key again after the re-install.
