I'm just about to change my

4x1gb GeiL DDR2 800mhz 6400

for

2x2GB XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 10666C9

My CPU is currently a E6600 @3.2 400x8, what should i set the mem at?

I'm sure right now its 1:2 or 2:1, so should i just change that to 3:1 or 1:3 to get it to 1200mhz?

Cheers.

I've got a P35c Ds3r capable of using DDR2 & DDR3. (obvs not at the same time)

Well i set the clock at 355x9 giving 3195mhz with the mem clocking doing a 3 on the divider.

I suppose that's all i can do for now.

Im about to receive a Q9550, let the fun and games begin.

This might sound silly but you could set back to stock for stability and exchange the RAM then overclock once it's working?

But if you're getting the Q9550 then I'd wait before you changed the RAM just change both at the same time. :p

Yeah i was going to, only the ram is in now along with my new shiny golden sample 260GTX, just waiting un-patiently on the CPU now :D

:p

Supposed to be a good clock, 4ghz with a tiny volt increase.

Well hope you get it stable at 4GHz. :)

Thanks :)

Think that would be being greedy, he had it on water as well, though i have a good cooler Noctua NH-U12P.

So really anything over 3.5ghz would be fantastic.
