Changing mid-2010 MBP HDD

So I'm considering changing the HDD of my mid-2010 15" MBP. Anyone done this?

I've seen the guide on iFixit but was wondering if anyone with real experience could say how tricky it was.

It's perfectly simple as it's deigned to be user replaceable, it's even in the Apple manuals. Unscrew, replace, screw up. If that model uses torx for the drive bay screws make sure you have something with a torx bit in the correct size.

Yes, you'll need a torx bit. Not exactly a problem though - even your local pound shop will have something suitable.

It's very straight-forward to swap. Check out the guides on YouTube.

Very very easy to do following the guide. I purchased their tool set too which has helped when fixing other laptops etc.
