changing monitor resolution

Hey guys,


I bought a benq gl2450hm recently for my ps3. Whenever i run a game it says suggested resolution 1080p but when i check it under the information tab of the monitor it says current resolution is at 720p. How do i change the resolution for the hdmi connection on this monitor?

The manual says that it is done through windows display properties but is that not just for a dvi connection?

Firstly the resolution can be changed in display properties, it doesn't matter what type of connection.

Secondly it could be that the PS3 is forcing it into 720p as some games only run at that resolution on the PS3.
