On the road....
Got a new (well, used via the MM) board arriving this week, I previously upgraded from Win 7 Retail and thus assume I won't have activation issues when I change boards?

I'm sticking with the same chipset (P55) but going from my existing DFI Lanparty board to an MSI one.

I'm hoping it'll be a simple case of swap boards and it will reactivate itself once I'm back up and running, I'm reluctant to do a clean install if I can avoid it as it takes hours to put all of my games and mods back in place.

Can anybody confirm this will / should be plain sailing?

Cheers.

You may need to call Microsoft customers services to activate. This proceedure is usually painless quick and simple. It has been in past for me.

you may or may not have a nightmare, look for my posts on how to persuade support to issue you with a retail win 10 key

Well, Windows was deactivated once I put my new board in, googled a support number, rang up and a very helpful chap asked why it was deactivated, I explained a change of motherboard, he was happy with this (didn't ask why I'd changed it) and I got a new key straight away.

Plain sailing after all! :)

Cheers for the help guys.
