hi

I want to move my dock to the right and have a clear 2d dock. Any suggestions what program to use?

Thanks

 > Dock > Position on Right

As for the 2D effect, you could try Candybar Not too sure if it does 2D, but there are some nice effects and subtle changes to be made.

Best of luck.

sorry I should have been more clear... bottom right...

For 2D Dock in terminal
Code:
defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES

For moving it to the Bottom Right
Code:
defaults write com.apple.dock pinning -string start

I've deleted the pictures for the boarder for

Code:
HDD>System>Library>CoreServices>Dock>>Contents>Resources

But for the life of me I can't seem to get rid of the black background...

I tried frontpage.png but it doesn't seem to be the right file, and the pictures for the 3d docks there but not the 2d dock...

this is what I'm left with so far...

There's a lot of png files there, what about all the ones with left, right etc in the filenames?

I tried reverse gen it... by deleting every .png...
Code:
killall Dock

it still had a dark background, so I restored the lot back and deleted the ones for the boarder.

There was an app I used to run on Tiger called ClearDock but it seems it doesn't want to be installed on Snow..
