Changing OS's

Hi, im gonna change from XP to Win 7 today and as I have a lot of steam games I found out about backing them up.

Am I right if I just back up the whole drive as is suggested here then everything will be ok?

If you've got 2 hard disks, you can just move your steam folder to the spare hard disk, it's ver easy to do.

May want to double check save game folders for any games that you need them for. Usually they aren't in the steam directory or even mygames and are dotted about like random, a google is really the only way to find them.

I think most of the saved games are in my docs. ill back that up too.

not too sure about origin but it installed mass effect 2 on my 2nd hard disk anyway. so should be ok i guess.

Copy the steam folder across and use Gamesave manager to backup and restore your saves.
