I am thinking of getting a new PC case. I have been talking to some of my friends on the Internet and they have been saying "watch out that static doesnt fry your components" I have never changed PC case before, so what precautions should I take to avoid this static frying my components?

If I just transfer my stuff from one case to another, what do you think the percentage is of me frying my components due to static?

Thanks in advance :)

Very low if you take precautions, get yourself an anti static wrist band, you can pick one up for a fiver on the bay. Or just touch something metal every so often, like a radiator.

Ive never used a wristband and ive never fried anything with static. My routine is to touch the cold tap before beginning the build to earth myself, then occasionally touch a metal part of the radiator from time to time. Another trick is to plug the PSU in, but leave it turned OFF at the wall, and ocassionally touch the case.
