Hi,

Im on an office computer and want to change my resolution , but the control panel has been locked out.

Is there any other way or any programs to download to get around this?

Thanks.

Oh, and its an onboard graphics card so i can't get any nvidia/ati software to change it.

You should be able to do this from the registry although it varies between gfx makers.

Try going into regedit and then doing a search on what your current resolution is. Hopefully you should be able to change it from there.

Good job getting it done.

And your IT Department do deserve the fingers because if they want to block this sort of thing they should do it properly and not just half-arsed

locking down control panel options is fair enough but you should let people choose the screen res. afterall, they're the ones using the pc.

it can be a health and safety issue if you have trouble reading text if the res is too high. or if the res is too low, it can make you less productive. i'd still speak to IT about it even though you have a workaround. :)
