Changing rooms with Sky?

Has anyone had Sky move a box from one room to another?

I recently changed rooms and my sky box won't stretch. So will I need to contact sky to have them move the box?

If so how much do they charge to do something like this?

If its the same as when i was there a few years back it it will just be a straight forward relocate job which is the price of install because new cables will get run from the dish to the new place you want the box. Roughly 30 quid if i mind right. Could be all different now though.

Satellite extension cable.

I moved house without telling Sky - it's not overly difficult to mount the bracket, feed the cable through etc.

There may be some attenuation depending on how far you move the box away but I think you'd have to move it a long way away (talking 50m+) to see any noticeable difference.

Under 30m I doubt you'd see any change, though I cannot say for sure.
