After managing to sort out a motherboard/raid controller compatibility issue, I have run in to yet another problem.

When I change some details in my BIOS (such as the date), the PC wont boot. I have to then reset the CMOS for it to boot in to Windows.

The PC is made up of the following:

Mobo: MSI K9A2 Platinum (BIOS v1.8)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945
GPU: Generic 8400GS PCI-E 256MB
RAM: 8GB DDRII
PSU: Corsair HX 520 watt
Boot Drive: 74GB Raptor

RAID Controller: LSI MegaRAID SAS/SATA PCI-E 9260-8i with battery backup unit - a second controller will be added at some point.

Attached to the RAID controller already installed are five WD RE4-GP drives.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Phil
