Changing the Default Installation Directory

I've changed this in RegEdit so that the default directory is on my secondary HDD rather than my SSD (to save space), however when I try installing new programs, it still automatically points to the SSD. Why is this?

I've almost filled it with games so thought I'd put some other, less important stuff on the HDD. I'll stick it all on the SSD then if I have room, thanks.

Not liking the random clicking from my HDD since changing though.
