Hi Folks,

I have a PS3 slim 120gb and I want to switch the HDD to a large one. One type of drive to I need, sata or ide. Also, what speed does it need to be?

Thanks

Matt

SATA 2.5"
5400rpm is 'safest' option
Make sure it fits as the higher capacity drives sometimes are a bit too tall to fit (cant remember the exact height - just check it fits in a PS3)

Remember to backup and sync trophies

If you have any further questions - do a search - this has come up a fair few times before ;)

ps3ud0

Don't worry about putting in a SATA 7200rpm drive.

As long as it doesn't exceed 9.5mm height (e.g. 12.5mm) it will be fine.

Ahhh poop. Yeah, that's what I meant.. started writing a response then went back to change the wording and it came out wrong.

Have edited the post now :)
