Hey people not been on here a while.
I've just bought the Gaming Bundle from Overclockers It is coming tomorrow and I cannot wait :D

I'm not clued up on Windows these days I just install it and let it do its thing.
But does anyone know if It is vital to do a fresh install after changing my hardware or will it work and ask for drivers?

Cheers.

Depends what you change from and to in all honesty. I recently changed from a P68 to a Z68 motherboard and when I came to install a lot of the drivers, windows had already stepped in due to some of the drivers being the same from the other mobo. If you are jumping from AMD to intel though, I'd definitely do a full reformat. If you have an OEM version of windows, online activation probably won't work so you'll have to use the automated phone service instead, which is to basically check you are only using it on 1 PC still.

Hope it helps.

I always think that when you get new hardware its best to do a re-format anyway if you
are loosing nothing major, especially since now a days most people have Movies/Pics etc
backed up on another drive away from there OS.

With regards to Windows if its an OEM version then it should activate fine even if its OEM
with the OEM copy of Windows you are allowed to activate it 3 times on the same PC before
you have to ring the automated system and get a key off that.

Thanks guys.
I am switching from AMD to Intel so Ill do a fresh install.

Ive gone for the z68 gigabyte motherboard and Intel i5 2500k overclocked to 4.4ghz.
I was going through my old posts and i never realised i had this system for 5 years! Funny how time flies.

I think ive had good use out of it.
Working now so cant wait to fit it when i get home :)
