Changing the linked file source in word

I have a MS word file that contains links to an excel file in order to display a number of charts (about 70).

Is there anyway to change the linked source document for all charts?

Going to Prepare---edit linked files only allows changing of the link one by one.

I need to chance the source for 70 links on each of the 12 documents i'm working on.

Any ideas on changing the links en masse?

It's not the name that's the problem. It's the location.

I have it on my desktop yet need to move the word doc and excel file to the server. The word doc still links to my desktop.

This must be possible.

If not it's a major failing in word that once you've created a linked document you can never move or transport that file.

Thanks, but that doesn't cover how to change the link source for multiple links
