changing to vista?

Hi,
I am going to change to vista but i want to also add a new HDD to install it on.
Will it be possible to keep my old HDD in with Xp on so that i can access my old files in vista?

Yep, should be no problem. Just boot up with the vista DVD in the drive, and when it asks where to install vista to select the new hard drive (You'll have to format it first, which it should prompt you to do). Then, when its installed, when it boots up you'll be given the option of booting vista or 'an older version of windows'.
