Im looking at gettin 2x x1900s in the new system im gonna build soon but IVe heard they run pretty loud and hot on the stock coolers, I was wondering how difficult/safe it is to change the cooler?

cheers

Pretty sure its just a matter of pushing through the clips on the board and then replacing them by slotting it back in.

And cleaning off and re-aplying the thermal compound, adding ramsinks if needed. Its straight forward enough, just be patient and careful and you'll be fine, my cooler got stuck so i yanked it, and a little capacitor flew off, reattached it... works a dream!

If your gonna have two in Crossfire then make sure there is going to be enough room between the cards for the coolers... For example now i have my Zalman VF700-Cu LED attached i cant get another card for crossfire.

Its worth the extra cooling so go for it, if i had to choose i would get one X1900 and give it better cooling then OC it, rather than two X1900's if i had to choose one option over the other.
