Sick of the early early episodes of the Simpsons. Why can't they get some of the newer 12 - 15 episodes that have been release since Simpsons started to air on terrestrial TV?

... Maybe Sky have purchased all but the first 5 seasons?

I hate the early ones :(

I have never seen the newer ones aired on anything but Sky, and we no longer have that :(

Annoys me too, I love the Simpsons, But you can only watch the one where they get Santa's Little helper so many times before you start to breeeeze over the episode.

Any Simpsons is awesome imo.

I'm just grateful its still on better than half the tosh on these days even if they are re-runs or new.

The Simpsons went bad :(

I loved it but after one season (can't remember which one) it just seemed to go downhill for me anyway. Although I haven't watched it for ages so I can't really say for sure now.

Channel 4 have shown up to season 13 at least, then for some reason they go back to the first few series from time to time.

Even the early episodes are better than the most recent ones. Season 2 to about 8 was the sweet spot in terms of humour and wit.

Yeah, I have to say that I haven't been that impressed with the newer ones anyway really. The Simpsons used to be and should be light humour, which is ruined for me when they actually start to try and make them mean something.

All the simpsons are so boring now, seen them more than bloody friends!

Saw a new one the other day on sky at work and it was awesome, so long since the Simpsons has made me laugh.

Your not missing nothing, i think the simpsons are getting a bit long in the tooth.
It started happening just before the film came out, they seem to be running out of ideas, i hardly even "Chortle" at any new episode i see.
Family Guy is the best cartoon now.

I think they've kind of progressed a bit from immature jokes and whatnot. Series 16 onwards isn't that bad but are a bit more serious and sitcom like. I like them but I know most don't.

And aye - the ones on C4 are very very old indeed...

I really like all of them. The early ones are a bit difficult to get used to because the voices are so different (and check out Smithers - wtf is with his skin?!)

Still better than Family Guy which just got so crap after season 2
