Channel 5 freeview

Just turned the tv on and found channel 5 came up as encrypted... Did a quick google which didnt throw up anything so did a rescan and now its gone completely!

Where is it? and why is/was it encrypted? Have I missed something?! :confused:

you may be getting a weak signal see if any other channels are missing

Dont think there are any other missing but then I dont watch any of the quiz or shopping channels. Will do another scan later tonight and then again later in the week or something...

We had this for about a week, but with all the BBC channels!... :eek:

Basically they went 'Encrypted' then totally off!... No BBC (1, 2, 3, 4 CBBC, etc..) for a week!!!... then it all came back up! :confused:

I think the transmitter was turned down for maintainance or summut!!...

The Techie's are doing lots of testing, upgrading and fiddling on loads of the transmitters at the moment.

I installed an aerial and freeview box for a customer the other week, then bam! The entire transmitter went off. Just had to wait for it to come back on in order for me to tune in their new kit and prove that it worked!
