Last month (5th July) I sold my LG Prada phone via ebay. The buyer agreed to pay £196.00 inc p&p.
To my horror today I find out that paypal have been issued with a chargeback by the buyers credit card company, as he claims the credit card has been miss used. My paypal account now reads - £189.00 (they've let me keep ebay fees, how nice of them.)
This chargeback has occurred even before the investigation has taken place. I've supplied paypal with the shipping information, but i think I can wave goodbye to £200 now
Does anyone know if Paypal have the ability to affect my credit history. Say if I refuse to pay them the £189.00 and just close the account.
