charging batteries

hi, i have a set of uniross rechargeable AA batteries:

ni-mh 1300mAH 1.2v r6/AA magnon

also got another set of AA ni-mh 1800mAH 1.2v hr6 rechargeable batteries.

the problem is i aint got the charger for em, i do however have an older charger.

its a lloytron universal ni-cd battery charger.

will that charge my nimh batteries?

I don't think it is a good idea, as overcharging NiMH batteries can damage them, on the other hand, if the charger is made for NiCd batteries with a lower capacity, it is possible it will turn off before the NiMH batteries are fully charged.

You'd probabaly be better off just buying a new charger as they can be got fairly cheaply.
