Hi all,

After the great advice in a previous thread I've decided on an Ohme ePod, although I love the looks and how the Andersen hides the cable the lack of smart tariff compatibility made me look at alternatives. Now I know it can come with a cable, the issue is the sizing, I'm looking for one 6.5m (or slightly longer). Has anyone got any recomendations on a reputable brand/where to get one from?

Can anyone also recommend any hooks/holders that they have come across for storage of the cable (will be left in the garage when not in use).

I had the option of a 5m or 8m tethered cable when I had my OHME Home Pro fitted, don't you get that choice with the epod? Mine also came with a rather flimsy plastic bracket for cable storage.
I do, I have the same options but the 5m is too small, I could go 8m but looking to see if there are any other options on the market that would give me the length I'm looking for.

I personally wouldn't bother with anything that has a holder that the type 2 plugs into. For one they don't lock in so risk dropping out if knocked and secondly they just make it jut out awkwardly into the room.

I just use a standard wall bracket (MegaMaxx in my case) and attach a regular hook and loop cable tidy to wrap around the cable which stops the charging dong from pulling the cable down under its own weight.
Been pointed towards https://ev-extras.com/collections/cable/products/type-2-iec62196-ev-charging-cable-holder

Looks like it has a simple locking point so think I might get those unless anyone has any other suggestions/bad experiences
