charging laptop

is it better to keep the laptop on full charge (could waste electricity?) or should i just keep letting the battery run down and then charge it back up?

Run down and charge it back. From time to time is good to let them run down completely. But you can take it out and keep the laptop always plugged in so you don't ruin the battery.

You have not replaced your laptop battery ? I have an old battery that does not hold much charge that I keep in laptop when I do not need portability.
...if you remove the battery and you do not have a UPS power supply then that is a risk.
You can get a cheap (maplin) power supply monitor too, and checkout cost.
