Hi folks,

Trying to get the best plug I can for my S23. I've been using RavPower things for a while and they top out at fast charging.

What's the recommendation?

Just make sure to keep an eye out for USB-PD as that standard usually fast charges all phones (although not as fast proprietary standards, eg OnePlus/OPPO's VOOC charge). S23 is fully USB-PD so you'll get max charging speeds. Bonus if it supports PPS as well (part of USB-PD 3.0) then it'll be more future proof and will fast charge any device, not just the S23.

Amazon via prime.

On sale. For a fiver. 30W PPS. Job done. I've had one for 6 months and it's been reliable and it's tiny.

Deal: USB C Plug, INIU 30W USB C Charger PD 3.0 Charging Power Adapter Type C Fast Wall Mobile Phone Charger, UK USB-C Adaptor for iPhone 14 Pro Max iPad Samsung S22 Google Pixel 7 Tablet Laptop etc. https://amzn.eu/d/aSphSGf

I've ordered an Anker 735 - 65w across 3 ports. Will replace my laptop charger. Ordered it from Anker as it was the same as Amazon (41.25) but included a free usb-c to lightening.

Thanks!

Do you think this won't burn my house down?

What makes you think any other charger won't?

The price?
Fair - I just trust Anker more than a no-name. A fiver seems like costs must have been cut somewhere

Edit: ordered. You owe me a house if it burns down.

Common misconception I believe.

The amount of non branded chargers I see used by people is a lot. If it were a real problem there'd be fires/stories everywhere. I've not come across anyone I know have an issue.

I like to buy quality items too, gave this one a chance and it hasn't let me down. I keep it in my work bag.

I have a 100w baseus sat on my desk for my laptop and my phone.

Not sure specs on my S21U but it's only charger I've seen come up with blue ring.

Not sure what W this is

No mention of PPS support. So you'll just max @ 18W vanilla PD charging.

PPS would have netted 45W. Although did the S21U even support 45W?

Get yourself this cable. Comes in very handy showing wattage drawn.

It charges my surface book OK?

I looked. S21U has 25w charge. I think that's the blue ring charging.

Surface book uses vanilla PD charging.

To get 25W on Samsung phones you need the newer PD PPS support.

Does it say super fast charging when you plug your cable in the S21U. Or just fast charging.

Check that on the lock screen
