CHASSIS INTRUDED

What does Chassis intruded mean?? just changed a block on one of my pc's and now it wont boot says CHASSIS INTRUDED ! asus board skt 745

Theres a connector for that on the motherboard which can be hooked up to a 2pin wire (supported depending on the case), if you then try to open the case it locks the boot sequence....hence the "chassis intrusion" alert.

Move the jumper back to its original position.

ah k, i will take a look but no jumper has been removed as i dont have a connection from the board to a jumper will have to find it and check it

You said you "moved a block" I presumed it was a jumper...

I understand it can be either a jumper or a setting in the BIOS.

Sorted

, had to remove the chassis jumper boot up crash, turn off re apply jumper boot up and repeat till no chassis error rocking
