Chassis Intrusion Detected??

ok i have browsed the net and all i can find about this subject is not helping me in anyway....all i seem to find is people moaning about there southbridge chipset over heating???

anyway i ran Everest and it says Yes next to the Chassis Intrusion Detected.

This is what comes up when i run copy Debug into the clipboard.

Some motherboards (normally ones intended for server/business use), have a little header for a sensor that can/will detect if the PC has been opened up.
When the motherboard is fitted to a case with the sensor (a simple micro switch that goes "open" when the case side is opened), it is registered by the motherboard and usually gives a warning/alarm (handy if you've got people nicking ram from the machines), in cases that don't have the sensor you're meant to leave a jumper over the header connection

Basically if you're getting a chasis intrusion alarm, as long as it's not driving you nuts you can ignore it

Yeah this is the same problem that i found when browsing....tho the door is always shut and hardly ever opened i couldn't work out why it was saying this.

So somewhere on my m/b i have a Jumper that needs the Jumper setting properly? but then again it's not doing anything to my pc the pc is working fine so like you said i might as well just leave it...cheers

Yep should be a jumper or somewhere in the BIOS where you can turn it off.
