Ok, strange thing occuring here and i can't figure out the problem!

My mum and dads PC (my old one) is reporting a chassis intrusion, moaning that the case has been opened...however it hasn't!

It all started when i gave my old PC to my parents, it had a see thru acrylic case (which they didnt want) so i took all the commponents out and put them in a standard case. However now, everytime the PC is switched back on at the wall, having been switched off at the wall, the bios says their has been an intrusion detected and resets the bios! Very annoying! However it does not complain about when the PC is switched on having not been switched off at the wall since the last shutdown! Its very strange as it never used to to this. The motherboard is an ASUS A8N SLI deluxe.

Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers

I'd check the onboard battery, could be that this is weak so when the board isn't powered by the 5V standby it looses the Bios settings triggering the alert

The case open setting wouldnt reset the BIOS when triggered ... it only servers to warn.

You probably never turned off your PC at the wall ... but parents do !
