What's the cheapest 4k hdr TV I can get for a ps4 pro

I've seen some online for about £350, will these be any good? What would input lag be like

Like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

Cheap TV:
- 50Hz panel, so even if the lag isn't to bad from the processing circuitry then the panel itself will still be something of a bottleneck with ghost trails
- HDR but limited brightness due to the edge-lit panel. Lighting from one edge is a cost compromise to hit a low price point. It limits the amount of light the panel can generate compared to lighting the entire back panel directly, and that means uniformity issues i.e. brighter at the bottom than the top and sides. It's also impossible to provide any kind of effective local dimming other than the entire panel area
- 8bit+FRC rather than 10bit for Wide Colour Gamut. This is about how many true colours the panel can generate. The "FRC" thing is dithering; it's the panel toggling between two colours to try and generate the appearance of more colours in between

All the above are a function of cost. You won't get improvements on any of this until you start to get close to £1000 for the smaller 4K sets.

Where you might have a bit of choice in the super-cheapie-budget 4K TV market is with the panel type (VA vs IPS) and the features in the picture control menus and whether the set has a Gaming or PC mode.

Is it possible to get a 4k HDR pc monitor? I feel like if so I'd be able to get one that's a more suitable size (27-32)

Panasonic's eBay account sells factory refurbs, £350 buys TX-40EX700B - perfect for console?

i don't understand why you would pay £400 for a console then £350 for a tv. makes zero sense.

do yourself a favour and spend at least £1K on a tv.
Because people aren't made of money? Thats like saying ' oh your brought a Ford Mondeo, I cant understand why you didnt spend more and get a Ford Mustang'

OP I think at that price range most of the TVs are going to be the around the same level of performance, so go for whatever. I hear HiSense stuff is decent for the money so worth checking out some youtube reviews.

that is nowhere near the same thing.

the same thing would be buying a ford mustang then using it on asda petrol. because you can't afford v power. which backs up my point.

buying a ps4 pro then using it on a fake HDR tv or a poor HDR tv is pretty much pointless and a waste. just buy a normal ps4 and use on a decent 1080p tv.

I bought a 55inch hisense 4k and its been brilliant, cant fault it and AV forums gave it great reviews.

not all tv's are built the same even by the same manufacturer. for example hisense have made a handful of great tv's but the majority are poor but they are cheap which makes up for that fact.

same goes for the likes of samsung they have crap tv's and good ones. you cannot say manufacturer X is who to buy from. you need to be specific with models. which goes back to the point earlier made about a ford mondeo being crap and nowhere near as good as a ford mustang even though they are both made by ford. but you usually need to pay more for better quality too.

What I'm saying is, my TV is close to his budget and has been absolutely bang on.
