I'm only looking for a netbook to browse the internet and IM friends while I'm out and about. So it doesn't need to be mega fast, I won't be throwing videos or games at it, battery life isn't really a huge worry as it'd get a couple of hours use a day. I'd be fine with XP, though for the price, something open source such as Ubuntu would be acceptable. Needs wireless to connect to networks for the internet, I won't be using it anywhere there isn't. Other than this, doesn't need much else. No cd drive, or things like that. Like the title says, cheap and cheerful.

So, what should I be looking for? £200 is too much really, ideally I'd spend less than £100, but after some browsing that just doesn't look possible, so £150 would probably be as much as I could ask for christmas!

After xmas you may be luckier with new chip coming and the manufacturers left with the old N270/280. Thats in respect of 10" At present your dreaming - £200 being around min price
