Hello all,
I'm after a decentish GPU that'll run with a 300w for my Nan's PC. Since she's only got GeForce 6150 integrated graphics anything is an improvement. Are there any cards that spring to mind? Would the 8500GT work with a 300w PSU? Thanks a lot

If it is just general system slowdown (windows, browsing etc), then it's probably not the GPU that's causing the problem. Try (in order of preference) reinstall windows, new hard disk, more memory, faster CPU.

An absolute top whack of £50, obviously it's not for heavy gaming, just something to enable me to actually play games without feeling i'm watching a slideshow. I have an ATi X550 somewhere but that is truly an abismal card but like i say, just a card that can play games on an acceptable level.

As its PCIE based on the X550 comment .... Would say the 2600pro is the better choice in that pricepoint, easily better than the 8500GT, for gaming & video playback.
