Cheap Android qwerty phone?

Just looking for something to use when abroad with whatsapp and facebook messages when I don't want to take my Lumia out at night but not really sure what to look for.

That would be ideal, but I'd need it on Orange/Sim free, unless it can be unlocked cheap?

Are there any cheap S60 qwerty phones? I know they'll be a bit poo but not much more so than the cheapo android phone, and really all I need is whatsapp and a simfree phone. Don't want to use a tiny, sluggish touchscreen or a t9 keyboard

Have you looked at the Sony ericsson Xperia mini Pro or Xperia Pro? You may find one cheap on the auction sites.
