Cheap as chips

The OH's computer died last night, so now its time to upgrade.
Budget.....cheap as possible
Parts needed.... Ide compatible mobo, cpu, small case, ~500gb hdd, cheap gpu.
I already have a corsair hx620, 4gb Kingston ram, monitor, windows, etc....

Id like an i3-2100 in there, but that might be pushing the boat out.

I actually dont know of any *NEW* mobo's with IDE. What is IDE in your case that you want to use?

HDD, its got all her data on it, but her mobo fried last night, mine doesnt have IDE, so we need to buy a new one to try and salvage it or possibly even use it.

I found most of the H61 boards have IDE which is a plus considering the upgrade path to the i3 in the future.

Id try, SATA to IDE Converter, look in MM for older bargain, is your ram ddr3 ?

Yup DDR3, just took a look, the HDD is SATA, its my old unit that was IDE
