So I've bought all of my 5.0 setup and have not yet installed it (moving at the end of the month, so will do it then).
I am thinking that it might be more convenient to have my speaker wire connected to the receiver by banana plugs (not too bothered at the speaker end).
Is there anything wrong with cheap banana plugs? Are ones like these likely to be detrimental to sound quality? They are gold plated so I can't really see why they should

For reference my equipment is:
Onkyo ts xr606
2x B&W dm602 (will be bi-amped)
2x B&W dm601
B&W cc6
the wire is this:
25m Quality 2 x 2.5mm Loud Speaker Cable - Multi-Strand: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
So I need 14 plugs if I am to do the receiver end only.
edit:
while I'm here. With bi-amping. Is making sure that the two sets of wires are the same length enough diligence to avoid problems with the two sets being different lengths? Or do I need to find myself some bi-wiring wire (aka 4 cores together)?
