I'm looking for a cheap Bluetooth speaker, sub £50 it will only see real occasional use and is more to keep my kids entertained away from home than for any serious listening.

I'm currently trying to decide between the Anker Soundcore 2 and the Anker Soundcore Boost as both look like decent products for the price with the added bonus of a know quality brand to back them up there are a lot of no name products at this price point!

Would anyone recomend a different product in the market segment?

I was recently looking for a bluetooth speaker as well. But I wanted something to use quite often, myself.
I started looking at Anker and the boss @ work had a soundcore which he let me try. But it sounded terrible, especially outdoors.
Probably no help, but I looked at loads of different speakers and in the end increased my budget and bought a Minirig which sounds really good for the size and has a great battery life too.

If you just want something cheap, have a look at the HMDX Jam Classic (not the 2.0), I am constantly surprised by the quality and volume of the audio that this thing produces for like £15-20.

I have the Jam Classic 2.0 version, from Asda for about £15. Got it so I can continue to listen to youtube vids whilst in the bath, so not really music, just talking, and for that it is perfectly acceptable. I think it would also be OK for me if I used it for music, though if that was its main use I would probably have spent a bit more.
