Hi folks, my daughter is 7 and uses my old desktop (7 years old PC) to stream films etc from my main PC in the livingroom, to her bedroom.

Currently I'm getting her PC freezing up regularly and I think it's just on it's last legs.

What money would I be looking at to get a PC that basically does minimal browsing and will be used to stream stuff to 19" LCD monitor.

I'm basically realistic to know there's nothing I can scavenge from that PC and I@m going to need to get a new one for her.

Can some kind soul spec me a seriously cheap option....as cheap as it gets basically. It'll not be used for anything except tv streaming and watching stuff on youtube so no massive CPU needed. I want it to last her for a few years too but as she's only 7 it'll not be used for anything severe :p

Not this. Or your cheap computer will be killed by the cheap psu, and you'll have to buy a whole new one. Get the 400W corsair for £40, even if it ends up costing more than any other component in the system.

Any reason why you're not getting a nettop? The asus eee box or one of its clones.
