At the moment I am listening via the AKG Y50BT's had these for years but they're starting to hurt my ears so I'm looking for some new bluetooth over ear headphones instead. I don't want to spend much because I only use them about 3-5 hours 3 days a week. I've been looking at the Sony WH-CH720N are these worth the £68? I would go up to £100 max. The Audio-Technica M20XBT also look ok but I have had several Audio-Technica headphones and the earpiece and headpiece always falls to bits very quick, also had problems after about a years use with the left speaker pulling away which is annoying.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would always look for something with replaceable pads, over the ear, rather than on ear so the pressure isn't on the ear itself but on the skull around the ear.

To that end, I would look at these.

Hifiman HE400SE
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro

edit - missed the Bluetooth part....

I would find some used Sony XM1, 2 or 3.

£100 for all the components that make up a pair of Bluetooth headphones is far too cheap to be considered good quality, IMO.

You're going to have to compromise somewhere.

I'm not after something out of this world its just to listen to the TV, the Sony WH-CH720N look OK for the price just wanted to see if anyone had a pair. I also did say over the ear don't want on ear the AKG are like this and they are starting to hurt my ears.

I bought a pair for my sister Christmas before last, they seem nice. The XM4 series have better Noise cancelling but as a set of Bluetooth headphones, it's good value.

Thanks Raymond

I did look at the XM4's 1st but thought I'm going to be sat in the living room myself so no point with noise cancelling, plus didn't want to spend that much. The only reason I use the headphones is because the wife can hear the TV in the bedroom which is above the living room.

Will see if the local purple shops got them in and go have a listen.

@Minstadave

I will have look at those thank you.

I have the XM1 and XM4 too. The main difference between them is the XM4 have better noise cancelling and USB-C charging. I actually prefer the sound of XM1 out of the box, however Sony has an app with equaliser so at least I can tweak the XM4 to my liking.

The Ch720 will be fine for your needs.

Some used Sony XM's are definitely the way to go hear, noise cancelling aside they are great bluetooth headphones.
