Cheap Camera? Why?

Iv'e seen a Vivitar V8400 8MP Digital Camera for £130 from an online store but what i cant understand is why is it so cheap.

I was looking at a Casio EX-S600SR before I saw this and that was £160 but it is only 6 MP, has the same zoom and same screen.

So can anybody explain why the 8MP is cheaper than the 6MP even though the specs look the same, or is the 8MP the deal of the century?

ok but can i ask why and how do i know which takes better photos then?

OK, i think ill just go for the more expensive=better type of approach
