cheap card for ripping

Just got an old Dell PC i5-4570s
Fitted a blu-ray drive and I intend to use it for ripping BR to mp4/mkv but it's sloooooooow!
I used to have a GTX1060 which was OK but it died.

Can you guys recommend a cheap GFX card?
If it's slower than a 1060, that'll be OK as I can leave the PC running overnight if necessary.

Sure Haswell can do H264 encode, if your using Handbrake you’ll need to use a older version (1.2.x) or maybe older?

Not sure what the quailty, speed and codec support would be like but try the IGPU on the CPU?

IIRC format shifting in the UK is still not actually allowed. At which point, if you're breaking the law by doing it anyway.......

If you're outside the UK, and format shifting is legal, then I'd say the IGPU as others have stated. Quicksync should be pretty fast, TBH I would expect it to be faster than a 1060.

You're butchering the quality when using a GPU
To retain quality you should be using CPU encoding only
