Cheap compact PC

.. My dad wants to get a work Pc, but needs to be very small and compact to minimise desk space.. As he is replacing his laptop.

Any ideas?

Dosnt need anything special, just needs to run vista (not aero)

Well if you don't want to bother building anything yourself, the HP Slimlines are ok, just pop another gig of ram in the £300 model and bob is your uncle.

we use the asus desktops at work.....they are about 1/3" the size of the shuttles and are dual core, 2gb DVD etc etc

In a similar vein, the Dell Inspiron 530s looks pretty nifty.
