Cheap dry white wine to cook with/drink

I'm cooking something that says it needs dry wine. I don't drink wine but I'm not buying a bottle to use a half cup in a recipe and not drinking the rest whilst I'm cooking, because of this, I want something that tastes nice too

Any preference on brand or anything? An if the neighbours come round there would be more than 1 bottle needed
