I refer to the adapter on this thread. I can confirm for 100% that the adapter will work with Eyefinity. Currently running 3 x 22inch monitors.

1 x 1950 x 1080
1 x 1650 x 1080
1 x 1650 x 1080.

Set the 1950x1080 monitor to force 1650 x 1080 resolution and hooked that monitor up via the VGA - Displayport adapter. The other 2 monitors are plugged in via the DVI sockets. I understand a few people have a few issues getting 3 to work so i suggest using the adapter on the highest native resolution monitor.

Had a few issues getting the diplays working in the right order, but nothing a few mins fiddling wont fix. Currently playing Batman at 5040 x 1050 on the 3 monitors with about 40-60 fps on a 5850. So im happy.

Hope this helps you guys. Will post a pic of the setup when i get home for lunch if i remember!

Thats cause i am confused! I cant remember all those numbers! lol

So yeah, 1 monitor was 1900 res or whatever it is, and the other 2 were the 1600 variety!

Set the 1900 to the 1600 and it works fine!

Here's the pic of me playing wow with my new setup as promised.

If you look closely you can even see the empty box the adapter came in!

As i said, hope this helps someone - would have loved some confirmation before i went ahead and got the monitor and adapter lol.

Yeah i'll list the problems i have encountered so far :-

Displays will flicker. This i can guarantee as a driver issue and not the adapter. Before i had the adapater i used 2 monitors and got the same problem. The flickering goes away if you use only 1 monitor. However the other 2 will need to be unplugged.

This will only happen when in windows. I have been playing games with the 3 monitors/adapter and get no flickering as long as the game is running in FULL screen mode. Again points to driver issue.

I did notice my third monitor turning off occassionally. Again this was actually really rare and only ever happened on the desktop - didn't get it while playing in a full screen game.

I'd hope to have all these issues fixed with the new drivers!

Hope this helps

Im not convinced its a driver issue, more likely a hardware/firmware issue

So many people are getting flashing/blinking/signal loss errors with both the VGA and DVI adapters. Yet none are reported when using the native DP monitors

It is more likely some kind of signal drop out caused when the conversion occurs..

This also points to why ATI are releasing an 'official' adapter.

As i said i had the flickering when using only 2 monitors. Both connected directly to card using DVI. No adapters.

So can't be due to a signal conversion. If its a a hardware error then ATI are gonna have a lot of unhappy customers and a lot of returns on their hands!

I think this might be a seperate issue, is it flikering in part of the screen, rather than the whole screen losing its signal?

the reason i ask is that I have also seen this on two screens, however when these two screens are grouped the flickering dissapears

This is a diffferent issue than the signal loss, which I also have as well!

I agree the signal loss where the monitor goes completely off for a second could be related to a hardware problem, but i find it unlikely as it hasn't ever happened in full screen mode for me.

The flickering i have, like many others, happens only when 2 monitors are plugged into the graphics card. Strange thing if yours happens the other way round. When u get the flickering on a single monitor is the other 1 still plugged in but turned off? as i have experienced that also. Other monitors must be unplugged in order to stop the flickering.

I'm still saying driver issue and would bet some hard cash on it!

Hopefully they'll fix it with the next update.
