Cheap Flash-Pen Style MP3 Player Required (512Mb/1Gb).... Recommendations needed!

Hello,

I need to sort out a Birthday present for my mum, she currently has two 128Mb Philips Key 005/006 MP3 players. However the main problem is they don't hold enough songs, hence why she has two. So I'm looking for something very similar, but with much more capacity, 512Mb min, 1Gb would be good though.

What she currently has:

2 x 128Mb Philips Key 005/6 MP3 Player

• Flash memory audio player : 128MB
• MP3 & WMA Audio Playback
• 5-key in-cord remote contro
• Lightweight & durable magnesium body
• DirectUSB plug-in
• Direct battery recharging viaUSB

Something easy to use, with a decent warranty would be nice, money wise I'm looking to spend around £50-60. Any suggestions/recommendations would be great!

I wasn't actually going considering that so I'll have to look into it. Do they have the same battery problems as the standard iPods?

I would also consider the iPod Shuffle if the lack of screen isn't too much of a problem for her. However, WMA files won't work though and will have to be converted to MP3 first.

And what battery problems are you talking about? :confused:

Yeah the screen won't be used much if it has one (small writing etc lol).

Surely you've heard of the battery problems with iPods, it's been all over watchdog and the internet. Google for it!

It's mainly a myth, all batteries degrade the more you use them, and the iPods are no worse than anything else at this.
