Does anyone travel to Cyprus regularly, myself and a friend have the use of her dads apartment for a week from the 23rd of July.

We would ideally like to travel from Bristol as its nearest for both of us, but I cant seem to find any flights (once the sneaky so and so's have added all the "extras" on) for anything under 300 quid each which seems a lot for a flight.

Can anyone recommend anywhere that does cheap flights. We need to go to Larnaca.

Thanks
:)

Cheap flights to Cyprus don't really exist in the same sense that they do to Italy/Prague etc, you will never get there and back for much under that I would imagine, and definitely not for under £100 as you can for some of mainland europe. Isn't that also around summer school holidays and therefore peak time :/

What I've found with going there is it's also probably cheaper to get a package deal that just flights, which seems strange I know but hey.......

Don't know about Cyprus, but I just booked a holiday for me and the misses to Gran Canaria for 480 for the both of us via the Teletext website.

Yeah but I work in a school so I have no choice but to go then

How do I do that then?

Not unless your going to fly from heathrow. Easyjet have bought out GB airways and are taking that route in their own liveried aircraft in easy colours.

There are no genuinely cheap flights available to Cyprus unless it is in December/January where package deals drop in price.

Any idea where I can find info on this?
Ive just looked on the easyjet site and they only seem to fly to paphos.

I just looked on touchdown.co.uk which you can use if you work for an airline and the cheapest I could see is £99 so it won't be cheap as the others said.

My mistake though it's from gatwick and still listed as coming off the gbairways website, although from the first of march they are owned by ezy and paphos is your lot :(

As said above, you cant really. Lovely place though if you go to the right areas but certainly out of the whole spectrum of "package holidays" its not on the cheap end.

My sister in law flew out to visit us (in cyprus) from bristol with Air Malta in the summer holidays and while i'm not sure how much it cost they did go on about how cheap it was.

I go to Cyprus a lot (I'm part Cypriot so go back to the madness regularly) and always use Cyprus Airways, but I get airmiles with them - I hate BA with a passion (I spent my life travelling around the world in my old job). You can use lots of other cheap airlines - I think Easyjet go to Paphos - but that's not convenient for me, besides it's not that cheap. If you want cheap flights, travel agents or opodo/travelocity type of sites will be the best. KLM do a 1 stop via Schipol service IIRC, other than that charter flights would be the place to go - if you're easy with your dates/destination - it should be quite easy.
