Cheap/Free Alternative to Roxio Suite

I've been using Roxio Suite for the last couple of years but don't really like the new version anymore. Was wodnering if there are any cheap or free alternatives except for Nero.

Just had a quick look and these seem pretty good but was also after a solution for some general picture, music and movie work all together. Mainly AVI to DVD.

convertxtodvd is what you want for avi to dvd conversion

if it's just transfer, not conversion, then just use imgburn or infra

went for final burner pro as they were offering 50% off the license. now can anyone recommend some decent cheap but preferably free software for playing with pictures??

paint.net, gimp, photo gallery live (from ms live range) to name but a few. All free
